this is the first in what i hope a series of MANY similar posts: testimonials from our buyers. Basically, this is them telling you that this site is for real and is… well, run by humans instead of monsters (just humans who really love monsters, but nvm)

Desmond, with his new catch!
At the time of writing this testimonial, Desmond is one of my ‘newer’ buyers, clearly interested in SH Figuarts line. Some time has passed since he wrote this (mostly due to my own laziness to post this up) but well, better late than never.
below is what he said about us,word-for-word, no edits:
hi there bro,
here’s my thoughts regarding your service:
- Response Time is good and fast, don’t mind the slow shipping time
- Service can be improved by providing a rough estimate conversion in SGD to customer before he/she puts down the deposit?
- After ordering, maybe some sort of spreadsheet can be provided to state the breakdown of costs?
- When item reaches, able to notify the customer?
- Not really clear on your website if 40% deposit is refundable in the event should bid fail.
that’s all for now..thks.
des
thanks Desmond for this testimonial! : )
there are some points which I would have to clarify to the readers of this blog, but I can save that for another post. so for those of you reading this, please do not be surprised if i whip out a camera phone and ask you to take a photo with your new hoot…. you know what it’ll be for…

edit on 11.08.2010:
would like to take this chance to clarify some points Desmond has made. His testimonial was made over a month ago, and there has been several changes to this website to better address some of the concerns he raised. in the order of his testimonials:
1. for a rough estimation of the costs, you can either email us for an estimation template or go to our online spreadsheet
2. This point might be a little controversial. the reason i don’t provide Desmond (or anyone else, for that matter) a final breakdown of the costs is because it saves time and giving a breakdown benefits no one. we can and will give a final breakdown of the costs upon request, but unless there is some error, no changes to the prices will be entertained.
since i am talking about this anyway, might as well set a policy right here: Customers who request for this breakdown too often and for no good reason will stop being my customers in due time. (i can refer someone else to you if you want)
3. Yeah. One of my faults is: i sometimes forget to notify customers first thing when the items come. it happened again recently: a transformers figure sat in my inventory for 3 weeks before i realise i forgot to ask the customer to collect. will be more on the ball.
4. yeah! if the bid fails, you get your deposit back!
to expand on this topic: there are 2 occassions where a buyer WILL NOT get deposit back.
1. if the bid succeeds and he cancels the order.
2. if, after i notify the buyer that his item has arrived, he fails to collect and make payment after some time (1 month) for no good reason/ explanation.

Hope this clears things up. Once again, thanks Desmond for pointing out the above issues in his testimonials so I know what needs to be addressed. Cheers!
